I don’t know about you all but I would love to have a bookish picnic with all my online friends in the book community. Just take a minute and imagine the possibility that we were all able to gather in the same place, the whole of the bookish community and have a picnic.
it’d be chaos but we’re going to focus only on the positives Wouldn’t it be something for the scrapbook? Surrounded by people who love the same things as you AND we’d get to eat food. Need I say more?
As a book blogger I sometimes feel like I’m stuck on this hamster wheel. A wheel that. Never. Stops. Spinning. I did a wee bit of reflecting at the end of December 2019, when I was planning January content and I remembered, how I’d ended up taking a 3 month long hiatus to recharge my batteries. Don’t get me wrong, the hiatus was hard but lovely and eye opening. I just don’t want to have to go on such a long hiatus again if I can help it. This is where the new schedule comes in….
Chaos. Sometimes it’s organised chaos. Look we’re very trying people us book bloggers, we try our best to get organised, plan ahead and in the New Year is when a lot of us have dreams and hopes of being organised. Blog posts all written, scheduled, formatted and we can just blog hop at our own pace. No worries about that blog tour post popping up because we forgot. Or that other post we said we’d have up on this day…it’s all taken care of. At least that’s the dream, right?

Being part of the bookish community is like finding the home you didn’t realise you needed. People who understand why you cry over fictional characters? Who also blog? Throwing yourself into the community can be daunting though, particularly when you’re new. So just how should you go about diving into the community?
