Monthly Rewind: April 2020

April has been a weird mix of having a ton of motivation to having no energy at all. That said Bookending Spring was amazing and I’m so grateful to everyone who hosted and took part, you’re all amazing! That said let’s rewind April and see what I’ve got up to, books I’ve read and more.

Life Updates

April has been a full month Bookending Spring was going on, I was posting daily on my bookstagram and I’ve been fluctuating between being productive and just sitting watching YouTube to try and help restore my creativity pool. That being said I have started a new series on the blog, which is an interactive story and I’ll probably try and post those once a month. The first “chapter” went up a week or so ago so the poll is now closed but you can still read it in time for when the next chapter goes live!

I’ve also been working on May content, trying to engage more on bookstagram (if you have a bookstagram feel free to leave your link below and I’ll go and shower you with some likes/comments!). I’ve been testing out some new spreads in my bullet journal and went a bit book crazy with the amount of books I bought. It was almost going to be more but I found some self control and clung to that for dear life.

I’m hoping to get the first two of my assignments written and sent in for my course next month because I’ve been procrastinating doing it. Mostly because the assignments just overwhelm me but they need doing and sadly they won’t write themselves. I will also be continuing to post on my bookstagram although at the moment it’s been rainy this week and so I’ve not been able to take photos for next month *sobs*

I’ve also started reformatting some older blog posts so please excuse the mismatch of formatting going on at the moment. Maybe by the end of this year it will all match…one can hope.

Around The Blogosphere

As I go about my blog hopping ways, I save some posts I loved, to share with you here. Ranging from reviews to tags to recommendations to discussions and if I stumble across any announcement posts from others in the community…yep you guessed it they’ll be going here.

Announcements can be from a blogging event (e.g something like Bookending Spring) to readathons to a bloggers new features.

April’s Playlist

In case anyone wants to snoop on what I’ve been listening during the months, this section will break it down for you!

April went from a bit of K-Pop to full on country because I found Smooth Country Radio online and I’m obsessed. My other love, well one of my first loves in music has been country so a lot of the country songs on here were what was playing on the radio.

  1. Thanks for mentioning me! For some reason your posts haven’t been popping up in my reader? So I unfollowed & refollowed & hopefully it works 🤞

  2. Oops I see all the books you’ve got are well… books I shoved at you. I have no regrets at all about this and please know that I will continue shoving books at you. 😈

April has also been a bit of a struggle – I’ll come up with ideas, want to write them, but not write them at all because Effort™.

I hope your May goes well! I’m still not sorry at all about all the music and books.

    • Yep they are, hahaha tis fine I shall just happily float along all the recs you throw at me. That’s a huge mood of not writing them because effort. I feel that. I hope you May goes better than April ❤

  3. You had a great month! I hope you are enjoying Cinder. It’s one of my favorite series and each book gets better. Cress is my favorite, though. 🙂 Happy Reading!

  4. Ah, thank you so, so much for mentioning my post, Clo! I can’t tell you how happy I am that you like caitlin reads—I used to be really unsure about whether it would find its audience 🥺🥺 I spent April mostly watching dramas, haha! I’m currently watching a Chinese drama called The Untamed, but I’m trying my best to go through it slowly, because I’ll be SO sad when I finish. also, I think you told me once that you don’t know where to watch dramas!! (at least, I hope you did, and I’m not misremembering 😅) I watch them on a site called! you can find any Asian movie or drama you can think of for free on their site! you just have to disable ad blockers on their site ❤
