Anyone who knows me well, know I’m not the biggest fan of movies, series though and I’m there. I love NCIS LA and as you can probably tell, I kinda went crazy with binge watching season 7 and 8. I watched about 4 episodes a day haha, anyway I loved both series and I can’t wait to dive into season 9. Of course then I need to buy season 10 and then I’m up to date I believe, since season 11 is still airing. Heartland is a long term love of mine, longer than NCIS LA. Its a series I started watching when I was maybe 12/13 and I adore it with my whole heart, yes I’ve only seen 2 episodes of it this month but for me, it’s one of those shows that I have to be in the right mood for. Otherwise I just zone out xD

RWBY hands down is one of the best things to happen to me last year, I binge watched volumes 1 through 6 last year and I started this show thanks to Soph @ Bookwyrming Thoughts. She’s amazing with her recs for me, and I adore RWBY so much and have been loving vol 7. I love the world, the characters and the animations *swoons*

I’m not sure if anyone knows this but I’ve been a subscriber of Kalyn’s since September 2018 which is pretty insane. Anyhoo I adore her videos, her content is some of my fav to just sit with a cuppa, unwind and relax. I also love her Podcast which you can find on any podcast app (Kalyn’s Coffee Talk). Anyway she’s started vlogging this year and vlogs are like my all time favourite type of video content. So I’ve been really enjoying watching her vlogs this month! If you’re not into vlogs then still check out her channel as she talks a lot about lifestyle, wellness, health and a lot more.

Life Updates

Oh January…it’s been a time.

I still can’t believe February is almost here, it’s also arguably my least favourite month because I’m single and the radios think it’s the perfect time to blast love songs all the time. Also the shops just get decked out with hearts and I mean…I love romance. I just don’t like it being shoved in my face. random tangent but I saw Easter eggs in a shop the other day like…ITS JANUARY PEEPS EASTER AIN’T NOWHERE NEAR YET

I went back to work which has been fun but draining. I bought some fineliners and another journal…in lavender (if its purple or any variation of purple I will want it…I love purple) I’m making a life/travel journal in the lavender journal so I probably won’t share many of the spreads in it.

I got a load of reading done somehow this month, I can’t remember the last time I read this much. January was the month of disconnection and struggling to reconnect with myself…we’ll get there. Highlight of this month was probably my day trip out to Lincoln with my grandma and dad. A few photos below of some of the buildings and the cute teapot my grandma bought for me whilst we were there!

January’s Playlist

In case anyone wants to snoop on what I’ve been listening during the months, this section will break it down for you! I’ll list the songs and artists and at the end leave the link to the YouTube playlist!

At the moment it’s a mix of K-Pop, with a sprinkle of rock and pop thrown in. Something I loved being able to see last year was how my music tastes switched back and forth in the months, sometimes it was a country month…other times it was a rock month. Then October 2019 hit and it was just K-Pop and country and here we are hehe. So the way I make my monthly playlists, is by writing down a song for each day of the month. Depending on the month, there may be more “bonus songs” than others. I know some people make playlists before the month or at the start to set the tone…which I love but I prefer seeing what tone/vibe I went with at the end.

    • I did, January ended up being a really good reading month for me and I feel blessed. Aaaah I can’t wait for you read This Cruel Design! OMG no, easter eggs are allowed closer to march but in Jan it’s just a no from me haha.

I love purple, it’s my favourite colour which I feel like shows through because I use purple whenever I can! Eeeek thank you love, I love my blogs design too now I only wish I could weave in grey tones somehow without making the blogs feel shift from warm to cold/sad :/ (*tackles in a hug* feel free to slide into my DMs on any social media if you wanna chat/catch up) I hope you have a wonderful Feb too lovely ❤

  6. two things:
    1) we don’t really do Valentine’s Day in Australia, at least, not like other countries seem to, so we literally have hot cross buns in our stores from 2 January. It’s awful.
    2) what did you think of The Boy Who Steals Houses?!!
