Ringing In The New Year Tag

I have held onto this tag for a year, it’s time to do it, since it’s the perfect time for this tag. New Year and all, I figured I’d slot this tag into January’s content. it also helps me slowly make my way through the amount of outstanding tags I have. The lovely Izzy @ Nine Tale Vixen tagged me in this one, make sure you check out her blog (after you read this post though!)

Best Book And/Or Series That You’ve Read in 2019?

Sixth World series by Rebecca Roanhorse, I read the first two books last year and aaaaah I’m impatiently waiting for the 3rd books release date to be announced. I loved the two books, the world building is amazing, the characters and I just *screams* Please read them.

Authors That You’ve Recently Found And Would Like To Read More Of In The New Year?

Keri Arthur is a new one to me. I’ve known of her books but it was only last year that I started reading some of her books. I really enjoyed the City of Light series. I also started reading Jennifer L Armentrout’s books last year, I started with two of her contempories and then I started her Lux series which I still need to finish although this post is prewritten so maybe I’ve already finished them by now…or not we’ll see

I’d like to read more books by these two authors as well as Sherrilyn Kenyon who is an author I was introduced to thanks to my awesome friend Ruby @ Ruby’s Books.

Most Anticipated Book Turned Movie/TV Show?

Is it bad I don’t have any? I’m super out of touch with things, and any that catch my fancy are only coming out on Netflix which I mean…great. I just don’t have Netflix so my excitement get’s thrown down the drain haha.

Name A Character That You Wouldn’t Mind Sharing A Kiss With At Midnight?

I wouldn’t mind sharing a kiss with Jules or Emma from The Dark Artifices orrrrr Damien from the Lux series. Ooooo Adrian from The Vampire Academy and Bloodlines series by Richelle Mead, I feel like that’d be entertaining if it were a New Years party with Adrian there.

How Many Books Do You Hope To Read In 2020?

Officially my Goodreads goal is 25, which is so I don’t feel a ton of pressure as the higher I set the goal, the more inclined a slump is to hit me. I’m hoping to read closer to 50 though but we’ll see how I do.

Will You Participate In The Goodreads Reading Challenge Or Any Others?

Yep I’m taking part in the Goodreads challenge, I’m also taking part in YARC 2020 as well as a few readathons which let me make my own challenges/goals. So that’s fun hehe.

Any New Year’s Resolutions?

Bookish resolutions would be to read more diverse books and I do have several diverse books on my shelves already so that’s helpful. I’d also like to read more non-fiction books, ideally in the astrology/moonology/spirituality areas.

  1. Thank you for tagging me! ❤ I'm also planning on reading more diverse books/ books by minority authors this year, and I have my eye on a few reading challenges for that but tbh I have yet to get myself organised on that front…

  2. honestly I love seasonal tags because I can shamelessly hoard them for a full year until they become relevant again 😉

haha I remember seeing you flailing over the Sixth World books, fingers crossed that third book comes out soon! and I tend to be pessimistic about adaptations if I even know about them (and I don’t have Netflix either) so I totally feel you there.

best of luck with your reading challenges/readathons and new year’s resolutions!

    • Seasonal tags are great for hoarding purposes hehe. Yes I am just gonna be here flailing over that series for a while now. I hear you about being pessimistic about adaptations, for me it depends on the book and whether I’ve read it or not. Aw yayyy I’m not the only person without netflix (cause it really does feel like everyone has netflix)

      Thank you Izzy ❤
