Life Updates

August has been a time of tidying. I spent a week rearranging my bedroom and erm I have yet to finish tidying my bedroom and my office. It’s getting there and I’m slowly getting things more organised and sorted out. I’ve also fallen into a productive mindset and I’m praying it’s sticking around. I also started nearer the end of the month, getting up at 5am. Honestly, it’s pretty nice to get up at 5am and just have some time to myself in the morning and sit outside…in the nice cold to appreciate life.

I’m once again planning away for several things on the blog, mainly I’m going to try and get all my September posts ready and scheduled. If you’ve not noticed yet, then my posts recently don’t have a featured image, this is due to me needing a break from panicking over graphics. I also have plans to revamp the blog…ahem also there may be a name change we’ll see though So I want to work on trying out some new graphics and see if I like them.

Oh I got my first physical ARC from a publisher (Simon and Schuster) so be sure to stick around for my review on Sorted by Jackson Bird, it’s non-fiction and is a transgender memoir. There’ll also be a giveaway for a copy of Sorted to be won and…the giveaway is International! So even if you don’t live in the US, you are still able to enter! (more on all that in the review post later on in Sept though!)

IFeedly has been a life saver for my blog hopping and I have a post in the works on that and I think that’s it for my August Rewind. I also was volunteering at my library to help out with the kids which was fun and I’ve been doing some #adulting things. aka figuring out interest rates.

  2. Seems like you had a good month overall. I hope September is even better for you. Yay! The first physical ARC is always special. I hope you enjoy it 🙂 And how do you even schedule all the posts in one month advance?? I can’t even do a post one day in advance 😛 And thanks for the shoutout.

    • I batch write posts and get them scheduled for the month by about the 2nd week in…so then I can work on next months content xD Though sometimes it feels like I’m on a hamster wheel which never stops hehe

  3. Wonderful wrap up, Clo! Thank you so much for linking to my posts! You’re too sweet! ❤ That's great that you've been waking up at 5 am once more! I've been adjusting my sleep schedule so that I wake up at 6:30 on non-school days and 5:15 on school days! So far it's been working out pretty well, and I thankfully haven't crashed and burned from lack of sleep (yet lol). A huge congrats on your first ARC! I'll be looking forward to seeing your review for Sorted! And YES to Feedly! My blog hopping would be horrendous without it. Haha.
